The City of West Orange is proud that you have chosen to be a part of our community. Just a few notes to help you get started, we are a small community, although our area encompasses two school districts, depending on where you reside is what determines your district. The West Orange Cove Consolidated School District services the City on all households east of State Highway 87. The Bridge City Independent School District will serve your need if you reside west of State Highway 87. Both districts will accommodate your needs.

City services will be needed when you move to the area, we will help you by giving you a list of essentials:

• Water and Sewer service is provided in the City by the Orange County Water Control and Improvement District #2, they are located at 2526 Western Avenue in West Orange and may be reached at 409.883.4003.

• Sanitation service is mandatory in the City of West Orange. This service is offered through the City of West Orange located at the City Hall, 2700 Western Avenue in West Orange and may be reached at 409.883.3468.

• Electric service is available only through one provider and it is Entergy, they may be reached by telephone at 1.800.ENTERGY.

• Natural Gas service is available only through one provider and it is CenterPoint Energy and may be reached by telephone at 1.800.376.9663.

• Telephone service is available through one main provider that is Southwestern Bell Communications (SBC). They may be reached at 1.800.464.7928. Other companies subcontract through SBC and may offer service.

• Cable Television service (hard wired) is offered though Time Warner. They may be reached at 409.883.4474.
