City of West Orange
The Fire Marshal shall be responsible for the overall planning of fire prevention in the City. In addition to serving as Fire Marshal, the marshal shall have such other and further duties assigned to him as the City Council may deem proper. The Fire Marshal shall investigate fires to determine cause and origin; inspect public buildings to assure code compliance with respect to the fire code and shall provide fire safety education in schools and to the public.
